Mrs. Gabriela Bretas is our next fashion model.
We have arranged to have 2 photoshoots with her in different dates and locations, and all that has been aligned with her in a timely manner.
So, for our delight, the day has come!
The first photoshoot took place in our studio.
She wore a plaid black and white suit along with some accessories and our intention through the images was to portray a sense of power, freedom and independence.
The session took us about 3 hours.
However, we had the chance to talk with Mrs. Bretas moments before, and we asked her some questions so that we could post them in our blog, of course, all that with her consentment.
So, she told us she was born in a small village called Amarantina, in the surroundings of Ouro Preto city, in the state of Minas Gerais, and she came to São Paulo after taking part of an audition brought by a fashion model agency based in Belo Horizonte, where she got 8 other proposals from different agencies located both in Rio and São Paulo.
Until then, she had worked as an Occupational Therapist since she has a college degree and masters in the area. Nevertheless, when questioned about the reason for changing career path, she told us that she felt in fashion an atmosphere of smoothness and joy that made her change her mind and consider the transition.
During the photoshoot, we could really tell she really likes her job and it seemed she never got tired. All we could see was her giving us some sharp poses, little direction was provided by us, she killed the entire session, saving us time and helping us with time management.
She also plans to pursue an international career and she also told us she likes working with fashion in general, but loves Jewellry and Sportswear better.
Our fashion model has shown to have a captivating personality, charisma and a great sense of humor, all that along with her high sense of professionalism.
The second photoshoot was held in Peruíbe, a city in the seaside, in southern São Paulo.
Mrs. Bretas wore a red vinyl fabric swimsuit, a pair of transparent glasses, a red furry Russian style hat and a furry red pair of gloves. Our intention was to send out a warning message on global warming. After wall, and fortunately, this is what fashion can be also for.
There were some rain showers throughout the session, but we managed to photograph our model everytime the rain gave us a break. We succeeded to move around and explore different parts of the location to capture as many images as possible. However, suddenly, the sky became totally dark, and a heavy load of water came down on us. We got soaked wet, trying to protect our gears, we headed to a nearby shelter… The rain stopped again and we got ready to have the last frames in the already established location. We noticed Mrs. Bretas was shaking since it was a little bit chilly. We told her we could stop since we have already met our goal, but she refused and said she would like to accomplish the photoshoot 100%. So, we quickly headed to the last area and we were impressed by her strength and willpower. Definitely, this image is going to be in our mind and heart forever.
We do hope that such determination can lead her to higher places and that she can fly really high.
